Sam Burns sits at 2-under for the tournament, leading by one over Adam Scott, as the final-round pairing made it to the eighth tee.
Update, Saturday, June 14, 8:15 a.m. ET: The second round of the U.S. Open concluded Saturday morning. Play was suspended on Friday at 8:15 p.m. ET due to lightning and storms in the area. Notable players on the course when the horn blew include Thriston Lawrence, who was 4-over on his round through 17 holes and 1-over for the tournament. Play will resume Saturday morning before the cut is finalized.
Sam Burns carded a 5-under 65 in the Friday morning wave to sit atop the leaderboard at 3-under, one ahead of J.J. Spaun and two ahead of Viktor Hovland as the only three players under par at the midway point of the tournament.
